Celebrating Fall Color in Georgia's State Parks

11-22-16 — Unusually dry weather pushed back our leaf season and caused leaves to be less colorful than usual. Thankfully, recent cold evenings have brought out vibrant hues on the trees that were still holding on to their canopy. While mountain parks are now past peak, now is the time to enjoy beautiful autumn scenery in middle Georgia parks such as F.D. Roosevelt. Soon we expect cypress needles to turn a pretty orange color in southern Georgia parks. Enjoy the latest photos from park rangers and visitors on our Facebook event
